| A little background.. I grew up in Zundert, as a son of 2 musical parents. Thanks to them, I was always exposed to lots of music. When I started taking drum lessons from Ronald Hendrikx at the age of 9, I immediately knew I wanted to become a musician. Two years later my dad took me to jam sessions, and via those sessions I had the chance to play some times with the great Billy Haynes Band at the age of 11. I got admitted to the Codarts Jazz academy at the age of 16, where I began to study after finishing high school. |
At the moment.. I'm living in Rotterdam, studying in Codarts for the 3rd year. There I have drum lessons from the great Hans van Oosterhout, Joost Kroon and Joost Patocka and other lessons from Bart van Lier, Ben van den Dungen, Kris Goessens, Ilja Reijngoud, Stefan Lievestro and Simon Rigter. I'm also playing in several Jazz, Funk and Pop projects. I've been on stage with: Joris Roelofs, Rob van Bavel, Marius Beets, Karel Boehlee, Vincent Koning, Reinier Baas, Stefan Lievestro, Ben van den Dungen, Billy Haynes, Jake Saslow, Joost Janssen, Durk Hijma, Marloes Jager, Thierry Castel, Maarten Hoogenhuis, Baer Traa, Jula Aimee, Frans van Geest, Sven Happel, Jan Smit and many others.
